In 2017 I got invited to participate at the "Responsive Design Workshop" in Ethiopia.
In two workshops in 2017 and 2018 we explored the traditional
culture of weaving with Students of the EIABC of Addis Ababa. In collaboration with local artisans, we developed new approaches to weaving in aim to establish national and international collaborations and widen their variety of products.
This sounds like a truly impactful project, beautifully blending traditional Ethiopian weaving culture with innovative design approaches. It's inspiring to see efforts to establish new collaborations and widen product varieties, effectively helping the artisans stay chained together with global markets. I'm curious to know what kind of exciting new products came out of these workshops! 👍
